Heavy Equipment Operators
Responsibilities:
- Proficiently operate any or all of our core heavy equipment, including Bulldozers, Payloaders, Excavators, Articulated Trucks, and Rock Crushing Equipment
- Comply with the Operations and Maintenance guidelines for all Heavy Equipment
- Perform a daily heavy equipment walk-around inspection and preventive maintenance responsibilities
- Perform job responsibilities safely in a busy, sometimes stressful environment
- Operate equipment productively, year-round in all types of local weather and ground conditions
- Perform tasks that have to do with site development/heavy equipment operations as assigned or directed by the Supervisor or General Manager
Requirements:
- 7+ years experience running heavy equipment, 80% to 100% of the time during your employment in a site development capacity
- Capable of operating heavy equipment in a safe and efficient way according to relevant legislation, policies, and procedures of the company
- Valid Driver’s License
- Ability to communicate, follow directions and have own transportation
- Must be able to perform daily safety and maintenance checks to equipment. Participate in routine maintenance, keep equipment clean and ensure that it is safely and securely stored
- Willingness to submit to and ability to pass, a comprehensive Background Check and Drug Screen; ability to provide documentation that you are a citizen of the US or otherwise have clearance to work in the US and the state of Connecticut
