Candidates must have a minimum of 7 years experience in a similar position within the excavation trade. Applicant must have knowledge of materials, methods, and the equipment involved in the excavation and construction of highways, roads, infrastructure, concrete foundations etc. Applicant will be required to be reliable, responsible, dependable, and have a willingness to lead, take charge, and offer opinions and direction. Applicant will need to have the ability to accept criticism and deal calmly and effectively with high stress situations. It will be required to behave in a pleasant manner with others on jobsite and display a good natured cooperative attitude.
Position requires experience and ability to read and evaluate typical construction schedules. Applicant will need to be capable of foreseeing schedule and/or personnel conflicts and evaluate all options and implement solutions while considering relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one. The applicant will be required to motivate, develop, and direct personnel as they work, and identify the best people for particular tasks. Strong organizational skills will be required to coordinate, supervise, manage personnel and equipment to accomplish tasks and maintain schedules. Full completion of daily project activity reports will be required. Scheduling the delivery, monitoring and controlling related materials will be required. The overseeing and spending of money on related projects will be a responsibility of this position. It will be required that the applicant develops constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintains them over time. Applicant will be required to providerelevant information to all supervisors, coworkers, and subordinates.
